Ski at Antoine Mountain

One of Ontario’s highest mountains with a true vertical of 630 feet. The scenic setting and historic location lends itself to development as a small ski town. Incredible views from the peak are sensational in every direction providing a spectacular landscape to support physical activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, snow-mobiling, mountain biking, rock climbing, ATVing and many more. These outdoor activities encourage participation in physical activity and community-building from people of all ages and segments of society.

Antoine Mountain has transformed from what once was a downhill ski club, into an exciting tourist destination with significant benefit to Northeastern Ontario’s economic tourism industry.

We are constructing a brand new 7500 sq. ft building that is designed to house the rentals and ski school, 3500 sq. ft of retail, as well as 2 groomers, a tractor, and mountain support equipment. We have also renovated the two mountain support buildings which are located directly at the base of the mountain and will be utilized for future races and events.

The brand new Doppelmayr quad chairlift has 11 towers, 98 chairs, and is capable of taking 2000 people per hour to the top. We have redesigned the mountain top for even more of an enhanced view with better and greater access to all runs. All of Antoine Mountain’s runs have been maintained over past 10 years, but this fall the runs were cut with a John Deere 4 Wheel Drive tractor with a 10 ft rotary cutter attachment. In addition, all tree lines were cut with a special rotary bush hog. To compliment the new lift, enhanced view, and clean runs, Antoine Mountain has invested in new signage, safety equipment, and enhanced communications.
