Cast Your Line And Take Your Pick

Put a line in from our docks, or venture deeper to barely touched lakes. The experienced anglers can almost pick and choose which type of fish they want to go home with in a day. All kinds of pike, walleye, trout, bass, and even Muskie inhabit our waters. Family adventures benefit from the diversity as well. Gentle waters and ample fish mean great pictures and memorable moments.

Where to Fish?

The Ottawa and Mattawa Rivers are the most accessible bodies of water in the area. You can launch your boat right from our docks or discover some of the many great shore fishing spots around. Some popular lakes within driving distance would be Chant Plein Lake, Talon Lake, Earl’s Lake, and Taggart Lake. But if you want more adventure, there are lakes with significantly less exposure along forest access roads and back country gravel roads. For these you might want to enlist the help of local experts to make sure you’re finding the right waters. Here’s a map of Mattawa and area with the many fishing locations plotted out.

Where to Get Live Bait?

Where to Find Motor Repair and Boat Equipment?

Getting a fishing license couldn’t be easier. A convenience store just around the corner from Valois called “Mattawa Variety” will make sure you’re legally enabled to fish in Ontario.
